About
Federal College Lagos (FGCL) Alumni Association of North America
We are the Federal Government College Lagos (FGCL) Alumni Association of North America, a tax-exempt (non-profit) organization under section 501(c)3 of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. The alumni association was founded in January 2008 and incorporated in March 2008.
Our Objectives
- To serve as a support group for one another, foster a good community, and encourage unity amongst members.
- To promote the well-being of current students and faculty of the Federal Government College, (Ijanikin) Lagos, Nigeria.
- To project a positive image of the Federal Government College, Lagos, Nigeria.
- To promote the well-being of all members of the association.
- To encourage good citizenship and better international relationships.

Meetings
- General meetings are held about once a quarter, usually on a Sunday evening.
- The meetings are held by telephone conference since our members live in various parts of North America.
- Committee meetings are held on an ad hoc basis, also via telephone conference calls.
- Regional face-to-face meeting are held at different times of the year in different cities.
- This includes Atlanta, Houston, New York/New Jersey, Baltimore, Los Angeles, Calgary and Detroit.
- Every two years, a special general meeting is held during our biennial reunion. Elections to the executive committee occur at this meting.
